Eagle started here in Orange in 1967 and still runs its own delivery trucks statewide. No other container yard in Connecticut has anywhere near as many customer reviews behind it. One catch. Grades are explained in their buying guide but not tagged on the stock, so ask which grade you are quoted.

Aaron Supreme Storage Container Company runs three yards inside Connecticut, at New Haven, Cromwell and Groton. Three yards means a shorter tow to most of the state, and the delivery charge follows the miles. The sale page splits stock into three plain grades. Those are used, refurbished and new one trip, and each one is explained. Most yards in this state make you ask on the phone instead. More than a hundred containers usually sit on the yard, so you can walk it and pick. Freezer and refrigerated units run alongside the dry stock. The shop also cuts doors and paints in a booth the state signed off on. Kelly has been trading since 1978 and hauls on its own DOT authority. The one thing missing is grade language. Nothing on the site says cargo worthy or wind and water tight, so pin the condition down before you pay.

Most Connecticut yards make their real money on rental and sell on the side. This one does not rent at all, and the site makes the case for owning over renting. The lot sits in New Milford with a repair and modification shop on it, though the boxes themselves come off the docks at Newark, Baltimore and Boston. Ask about lead time before you commit.

The Plainville shop builds to order too, with diamond plate floors, freezer doors, roll ups and E track. The catch is scale. This is a young company, started in 2020, working out of one unit in a shared industrial complex off Neal Court, and it lists 20ft and 40ft only. For a plain dry box you have better options.
