List of Conex and Shipping Container Suppliers in Idaho

Only 13 container suppliers in Idaho passed our checks, and 5 made this list. Nearly half the state's yards cluster in the Treasure Valley around Boise and Nampa. Eastern Idaho has one yard. The central mountains have none, so a box out to Sun Valley or McCall is trucked from Boise.

Apex Container, Inc.

ContainerMondo Score: 4.6 / 5
Verified 20+ Years
Visit Website Twin Falls, ID

Apex Container runs about 50 trucks of its own. That counts for more in Idaho than it would in most states. No deep water port serves Idaho. Every box comes in from Seattle, Tacoma or the Salt Lake railyards. Apex has worked that lane since 1997. Sale stock sits at two yards, one in Twin Falls and one in Nampa. Between them they cover the Magic Valley and the Treasure Valley. You can buy 20ft and 40ft units, high cubes, double doors, and once used boxes that have carried a single load. Sale prices are not on the site. Rental rates are, so call the yard with your size and grade and ask what a purchase runs.

Steve Carlton Containers

ContainerMondo Score: 4.4 / 5

Steve Carlton Containers keeps a paint and fabrication shop at the Lewiston yard. A box gets cut, welded and finished before it leaves. That shop is why the range runs wide. There are half height units with open tops, open side boxes, double doors, and container offices. One 20ft office has a bump out that opens it to 220 square feet. They will also sell you the modification materials if you would rather cut it yourself. The business has run out of Lewiston since 1986 and belongs to the National Portable Storage Association. Grades are kept plain. One trip or used, and you drive to the yard and pick the box you want.

Treasure Valley On-Site Storage

ContainerMondo Score: 4.4 / 5

Visit Website Weiser, ID

Treasure Valley On-Site Storage runs its yard out of Weiser, not Boise. That puts it much closer to the towns along the Oregon line. Payette, Fruitland, Emmett and Council all get served from there, and none of them has a container yard of its own. Brandon and Andrea Williams have owned the place since 2013 and they run their own trucks. The Better Business Bureau file carries no complaints. You can buy a box outright or work through a rent to own plan. The stock is 20ft and 40ft standard steel. If you need a high cube or a reefer, call somewhere else. For a plain box in that corner of Idaho, the haul is short.

Idaho Storage Containers spells out what each grade actually means. Most Idaho yards just tell you a box is used and leave it there. Their site says a wind and water tight unit can carry surface rust, dents, dings and floor damage. It says a cargo worthy box will be in better shape than that. One trip and IICL grades get the same treatment. Knowing all that before you pay matters, because nobody sends a 40ft container back. Delivery out of the Boise yard usually happens inside 24 hours across southwest Idaho. They will also run boxes out to Mountain Home, McCall and Sun Valley. Sizes are 20ft and 40ft, and there are no high cubes.

All Patriot Containers, LLC

Visit Website Sandpoint, ID

All Patriot Containers stocks everything from 8ft boxes up to 40ft high cubes. The short ones are the useful part. An 8ft or a 10ft drops onto a narrow lot where a 20ft will never fit. Plenty of yards do not carry them at all. Double door and open side units sit on the lot too. Prices are on the website with a cart, so you can see a number before you call. Most Idaho yards make you ask first. The yard is on Gold Creek Road outside Sandpoint and covers the panhandle. It is veteran owned, and service members and first responders get a discount.
